How to Make Dream Catchers

Dream Catchers–what are they and what are their uses? How are they made? In this class, Lauren Amanda Garrett will teach attendees about the function and uses of dream catchers in both antiquity and the modern day. She will also do a step-by-step demonstration on how to make a dream catcher. Attendees will have an opportunity to create, decorate, and take home their own dream catchers!

Lauren Amanda Garrett is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator residing in Eldersburg, Maryland. She is Federally enrolled with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wind River. Her lived knowledge of Native American culture, lifeways, and traditional crafter makes her a sought-after instructor and performing artist.
