Art Time with Mr. T!!!

Youth joining Mr. T for Art Time will begin by exploring the produce section of the store, where they’ll work together to select three different fruits. Inspired by their picks, our young artists will then create expressive masterpieces incorporating all three fruits. As they paint, they’ll learn fun facts about their chosen fruits and enjoy tasting them, too! The activity will wrap up with a show-and-tell for the group and parents. Come join us and create deliciously inspired works of art!

Taurean Washington is a professional visual artist living in Frederick, Maryland. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Hood College. In addition to teaching and running art programs, he is an exhibiting visual artist in the DC/MD/VA region with both solo and group shows. In addition, he is an author and comic book artist with his books in local bookstores such as Curious Iguana. As a 10 plus year long Child Care Professional, he believes art is a vehicle to encourage children to find their voice and be confident in who they are as a person.

Open to ages 5 – 14.
