Recycling 101 and Reducing Holiday Waste [Free; Online; RSVP]

November 17, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Sure, recycling conserves natural resources and is part of a green economy…but how does it really work? Learn how what you do at home is part of a global industry.

This crash course, led by Annmarie who works for the County Office of Recycling, will cover how to recycle effectively, what can be recycled in Frederick County, and describe the impact that “wish-cycling” of non-recyclable materials has on the program.

Annmarie will also be able to answer any specific holiday recycling questions you may have like: “Are empty pumpkin cans or whipped cream canisters even recyclable?!” (Answer: yes to both.)

We look forward to “seeing you” there!

This class will take place over Zoom.  You will receive the meeting link and any handouts the day before the class is scheduled to occur.
