Kids Kombucha Camp

March 7, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$12.50 – $25.00

This is our first hands-on kombucha making class for KIDS! In this workshop your kids will learn kombucha making basics, some interesting history about kombucha, and the science behind fermentation. They will also learn why kombucha is a healthy alternative to juice or soda in a fun and hands-on way. We will make kombucha to take home and enjoy a rootbeer kombucha float in class.

Parents are required to be present with their children for the duration of the class.

Liz Dodson a.k.a The Kombucha Lady is a professional brew master based in Northern Frederick County. She has been making kombucha for 10 years, and since 2016 she has been producing kombucha commercially. She lives on her small farm in Rocky Ridge, MD where she grows many herbs and small fruits that are used in the Kombucha Lady brews. Liz specializes in hand-crafted, micro-brewed kombucha—just about as local as you can get!

Dear Parent,

Just a few things to know before signing up for the Kids Kombucha Camp from the Kombucha Lady:

  • Our kombucha is low in sugar and passes Health Dept regs, yet-Kombucha is a fermented drink and does contain trace amounts of alcohol.
  • We will be making rootbeer kombucha floats in this class with non-dairy ice cream, but this will contain sugar. The brew for the “rootbeer” kombucha is made with Tulsi and Rooibos teas and does not contain caffeine.

I love teaching and I love kids,
