Authentic Italian Cooking with Chef Giordano

February 8, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

$55.00

Food Craft Direct and The Common Market will be welcoming Chef Giordano of La Casina Bassa in Umbria, Italy, who will be teaching you how to create authentic pasta dishes with very few ingredients. These recipes are unpretentious, easily assembled, and loved by chefs and home cooks everywhere.  In this class you will learn the secrets to creating 3 authentic pasta dishes that you can whip up in no time; Gnocchetti di Ricotta all’Amatriciana, Penne alla Ragú, and Tortellini alla Norcina.

About the instructor: Giordano was born in Rome in 1972, at twenty years old he completed his culinary studies and began working at the restaurant “Al Torrino” then “Pepe Nero” and “I Vascellari a Trastevere” all located in the Italian capital. During these years in the kitchens of Rome’s restaurants he acquired a great knowledge of the classic dishes of the Lazio region as well as of the capital, and during the same time completed a course of first level sommelier.

In 2015, Giordano with his wife Claudia opened their own place, “La Casina Bassa”. In the idyllic setting of the Umbrian’s hills, they manage an agriturismo (similar to a bed & breakfast) were they offer their guests beautiful accommodations, impeccable service, and naturally a culinary tasting of the local product and recipes, as well as hands on experience from pasta and bread making to distilling typical Italian after dinner liquors like limoncello or mirto.

There will be 4 chances to take this class! Purchase ticket here for class on February 8th from 11am – 12pm.
