2026 Board of Directors Election

It’s that time of year again for Owners to fulfill their most important Ownership responsibility: Exercising the right to vote! Owner involvement can extend well beyond shopping at the Co-op—it can help shape its future.
Voting by electronic ballot will open at 8:00 AM (EDT) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 and will remain open until 11:59 PM (EDT) on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
We are again working with Simply Voting, our independent third-party election partner to run our digital election. Owners should check their email inbox (or their mailbox if we don’t have an email address on file) for the election website address as well as their individual Elector ID and PIN / Password. Owners are responsible for reading the voting rules thoroughly and casting their ballot prior to the official deadline to be tallied.
Your Vote, Your Donation
In addition to electing your Board of Directors, casting your vote will also serve as a donation to support your choice between two local non-profit organizations! The Board of Directors and the Common Market will donate $1 for each vote to your preferred non-profit; Autumns Table or Blessed Provisions Diaper & Toiletry Bank.
Meet the Candidates
Join us at 7th Street on Wednesday, September 16 from 5:30 – 7:00pm to meet the candidates and enjoy a treat in celebration of 7th Street’s 6th Anniversary!
About the Board
The Board of Directors is comprised of nine Co-op Owners who are elected to serve three-year terms. This year we have five candidates running for three open seats on the Board. Two of the candidates are incumbents running to extend their seats. Please read the candidates’ statements carefully, ensuring you choose three (3) candidates or fewer and cast only one (1) vote per candidate.

Voting Rules
- Must be an Owner in good standing. To be in good standing, you must be current in your equity payments. Should you wish to make a payment for election eligibility purposes, please contact Owner Services.
- Vote must be by the Owner of Record. The Owner of Record is the person to whom the account belongs.
- One Owner = One Vote. The Owner of Record may submit only one (1) completed ballot.
Voting Options
Online voting will take place through a secure Web Portal managed by Simply Voting, our independent third-party election provider. You will be prompted to enter your aforementioned “Elector ID” and “PIN” at the portal log-in screen. You may also vote in-store on terminals, with or without assistance, provided you bring your unique PIN number with you. Common Market employees will not have a list of PIN numbers; Simply Voting will be the only party with access.

Join us at Route 85 on Saturday, October 17 from 12 – 3:00pm for our annual meeting–Ownerfest–to formally welcome your new Board of Directors and enjoy lunch, live music, free samples, and raffle giveaways!
