Candidate Forums 2018
The Common Market will be co-sponsoring forums prior to the Primary Election on June 26th and the General Election on November 6th with the Frederick County League of Women Voters.
The first forum will involve candidates for the two at-large County Council seats, for which nine candidates have registered. It will be held on June 12th 7-9 pm at the Unity in Frederick, 5112 Pegasus Ct., Ste. E, Frederick, MD. Free childcare will be available.
The person to bring the most attendees to the event will receive a $50 Common Market gift card. Attendance will be taken at the door.
The candidates forum is a great opportunity to:
- Show your support for the Common Market.
- Learn more about candidates who want to shape Frederick County’s future.
- Pose questions that let candidates know issues to prioritize.
- Hear and evaluate candidate responses.
- Know better which candidates you wish to support.
Let your voice be heard. Now over 6,000-strong, Common Market Owners and staff represent a large and influential constituency that can advance worthy initiatives that affect us as individuals, our families, our community, and the planet we share. We need your participation to ensure a successful event. To get involved in this and future projects, please subscribe and spread the word.
*Please note that The Common Market does not and will not be supporting particular candidate(s). The Common Market’s support of this forum is in an effort to advocate community engagement, civil responsibility, and the promulgation of information and education.
