SUMMARY:Board Meeting - Everyone Welcome!
DESCRIPTION:Your co-op’s Board of Directors will meet virtually on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.  Please RSVP here by noon on that Thursday to receive your Zoom link.  Your Zoom link will be emailed to you on the day of the meeting. \nEarly in the meeting agenda\, the board reserves space to hear from owners who wish to address the board.  Want to contribute to our next Board meeting?  Click here and in the subject line put “Owner Comment” and let your voice be heard! \nThis meeting will start with our “Food for Thought” speaker series presentation!   These 20-minute Ted Talk style speeches will take place at the beginning of each board meeting and highlight presenters from diverse and marginalized groups within the Frederick community.  Our hope is to center different voices in order to learn about the joys\, struggles\, and experiences within Frederick and emphasizes our co-op principles of education and concern for community.  Due to limited meeting time\, there will be no Q&A but contact information and resources will be shared for follow up conversations.

SUMMARY:Herbalism 101
DESCRIPTION:Interested in learning about herbs\, but not sure where to start? Join us on the green path as we dive into the magical world of plant medicine. Together we’ll explore the background of herbalism\, medicine making\, and an herbalist’s top 15 easy herbs everyone should know and use in their herbal medicine cabinet. This 2 hour\, jam-packed workshop will have you jump started on your own herbal path. Don’t forget to bring your notebook! \nThis class will be lead by herbalist\, Amy Boldt! \nAmy started her journey on the path to herbalism having been inspired by self-sufficiency. Her interest in medicinal plants and foraging led her to the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly known as Tai Sophia) where she earned a Certification in Herbalism and a Masters of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism. After almost a decade of practicing herbalism privately\, Amy has recently opened her practice to others as she widens her circle. She enjoys helping folks align their rhythms with those of the earth\, so that they can sleep better\, feel less anxious\, and choose the right foods for their bodies. Amy loves meeting new people and guiding them as they harmonize their bodies with the healing powers of nature. \n
