Apple Crisp


  1. Filling:
  2. 3 Lbs Granny Smith Apples, Peeled and sliced 1/4″
  3. Zest of 1/2 Orange
  4. 2 Tbsp Fresh Orange Juice
  5. 1/3 Cup Sugar
  6. 1 tspn Ground Cinnamon
  7. 1/2 tspn Ground Nutmeg
  8. Topping:
  9. 3/4 Cup Flour
  10. 1/3 Cup Sugar
  11. 1 Cup Oatmeal
  12. 1/4 tspn Salt
  13. 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  14. 1/4 Lb (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, Diced


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F
  2. In a large bowl combine all the ingredients for the topping. Using your fingers or a fork, mash the ingredients together until it begins to form small crumbs. Cover and refrigerate while preparing the filling.
  3. In a large bowl mix together the orange zest, sugar, orange juice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Toss in the apples and mix until combined thoroughly.
  4. Pour apple mixture into a well oiled 9×14″ baking dish and spread until level.
  5. Spread crumble mixture evenly over the top of the apple mixture.
  6. Bake in oven 35-40 minutes or until top is golden brown and bubbling. Remove from oven and allow to coll 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with your favorite Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream.
