This class has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 14th from 6:30-8:00pm.  Please RSVP on the May 14th event page.

This program is designed to provide a general overview of what plastics are, how they have evolved, and the pros and cons of this complicated class of materials.

Participants will learn which plastic materials can be recycled in local programs, why some are difficult to recycle at all, and offer steps that can be taken to reduce plastic waste. Participants will be shown samples of products designed to help reduce the use of plastics and will be provided with lists of recommended resources to learn more.

Please note, this class will focus on resource conservation and the environmental impacts of plastic and will not dive into the relationship between plastics and human health.
