SUMMARY:Pinsa Love Pizza Tasting!
DESCRIPTION:Pinsa\n\n\n\nPinsa. [Pin-zuh] Noun. 1. Pizza reinvented. 2. Known for it’s fluffy\, cloud-like texture. “The Pinsa from Pinsa Love is the best frozen pizza I’ve ever eaten.”  \n\nIt’s the crust…\n\nCrispy- Light- Fluffy- “Cloud-like” \nIt takes three days for our dough to become a Pinsa. Our custom blend of non-GMO flavors are the base\, but it’s our love in making the dough that really makes these Pinsas special! \nPizzeria quality\, baked right at home\n\nWhat’s the secret to making great Pinsa at home? \nIt’s simple. Bake it right in your oven. (oops! we told you the secret.) \nYou can cook it straight from the freezer\, but for best results we\nrecommend letting it thaw first. Just a few hours in the refrigerator\nshould do the trick. \nHow big is a Pinsa?\n\nA Pinsa is approximately 8 x 11 inches. They are designed to serve 2 people…or 1 very hungry person. Or 1 person with leftovers (they reheat great!). \nEach Pinsa is hand made\, so the may look a bit different- but portion size is the same.

SUMMARY:Food for Thought and Board of Directors Meeting; Everyone Welcome! [Online; Free; RSVP]
DESCRIPTION:Your co-op’s Board of Directors will meet virtually on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.  Please RSVP here by noon on that Thursday to receive your Zoom link.  Your Zoom link will be emailed to you on the day of the meeting. \nEarly in the meeting agenda\, the board reserves space to hear from owners who wish to address the board.  Want to contribute to our next Board meeting?  Click here and in the subject line put “Owner Comment” and let your voice be heard! \nThis meeting will start with our “Food for Thought” speaker series presentation!   These 20-minute Ted Talk style speeches will take place at the beginning of each board meeting and highlight presenters from diverse and marginalized groups within the Frederick community.  Our hope is to center different voices in order to learn about the joys\, struggles\, and experiences within Frederick and emphasizes our co-op principles of education and concern for community.  Due to limited meeting time\, there will be no Q&A but contact information and resources will be shared for follow up conversations. \nThis month’s Food for Thought speaker is Patricia Coates\, President of the Umbrella Project! The seed for the Umbrella Project was planted when Patricia was unable to find any grief programs for young people about the ages of her two children\, then 17 and 22\, when her husband\, their dad\, passed away in 2015. She was inspired to found the Umbrella Project after seeing how much daughter Eliane’s Appalachian Trail thru-hike in 2016 helped in her grieving and healing process. \nPatricia is a long-time communications and meetings professional\, editor\, and journalist\, primarily in the aviation\, travel and environmental sectors. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post\, The New York Times\, Frederick Magazine and numerous other publications. A pilot\, she is a former executive at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association\, and currently contributes to publications of the National Business Aviation Association. She loves to swim\, cycle and hike\, and has hiked Scotland’s Rob Roy Way with Eliane.

SUMMARY:Putting your Garden to Bed\, Preparing for Spring!
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we learn how to wind down our gardens for the winter and learn how to get ahead and increase your spring growing success in the fall months!  In this class we will explore methods like row covers and cover crops\, and discuss general/seasonal garden maintenance and how and why you might build raised beds.  Come with questions!  Both new gardeners and green thumbs alike will surely learn something new in this class with Don Ludke! \nThis class is part of a series led by Master Gardener\, Don Ludke that is designed to prepare you to “practically” provide sufficient food from a patio\, medium sized suburban home garden\, a not-for-profit homestead\, or a small farm. The series includes elements of composting\, food preservation\, caring for small animals\, reducing energy consumption\, and living in a more responsible and sustainable way.  While it is a series\, classes can be enjoyed a la carte! Choose the classes that interest you and skip the rest! Have a sustainability subject you’re interested in learning more about? Email Libby at Onuss@commonmarket.coop
