SUMMARY:Mini-Change Makers - MLK Day of Service
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to celebrate MLK Day of Service with Mini Changemakers on Monday\, January 19 from 1-2 p.m. at the 7th Street Common Market. We’ll be serving our neighbors who live in local assisted living homes by making Valentine’s Day crafts and cards to brighten their winter months. \nOur crafts are geared toward kids ages 3 through elementary school\, but the whole family is welcome. Caregivers are required to stay with their children during this event. Stop by anytime between 1-2 p.m. to participate. \nWe would appreciate your RSVP here to ensure we have supplies for everyone. \nAs Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. said\, “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.” MLK Day is the only federal holiday that is a day of service\, a day ON rather than a day OFF. \nWe would love to honor Dr. King’s legacy of service with your family as we teach our youngest community members that they can make a difference for others. Feel free to invite anyone you think may be interested\, and please reach out with any questions.
