DESCRIPTION: We hope you can join us as we learn the ins and outs of water bath canning. In this session we’ll get a run down of the art of canning and watch/assist with the canning of some berry jam- now that’s fresh! This class will help prepare you to “practically” preserve food from any size garden or homestead! \nThis class is part of a series led by Don Ludke that is designed to prepare you to “practically” provide sufficient food from a patio\, medium sized suburban home garden\, a not-for-profit homestead\, or a small farm. The series includes elements of composting\, food preservation\, caring for small animals\, reducing energy consumption\, and living in a more responsible and sustainable way.  While it is a series\, classes can be enjoyed a la carte!
